The aim: to help affected people in an unconventional way and to fight against the taboo status of HIV/AIDS in our society. Therefore, Life Ball is an exuberant festivity that celebrates life and makes a loud statement in the fight against HIV and AIDS – resounding across the boundaries of Vienna and Austria.

On the eve of the Life Ball, there is the Red Ribbon Celebration Concert in the Vienna Burgtheater. During this high-class gala concert, international opera and music stars devote themselves to the good cause and famous actors as well as doyens of the Vienna Burgtheater give touching readings of texts related to HIV and AIDS. In 2014, the net proceeds again went to the Clinton Health Access Initiative (CHAI). President Clinton attended the concert at the Vienna Burgtheater as a representative of his organization.

The morning of the Life Ball day, selected media representatives are invited to the international press conference at the Hotel Imperial. During the press conference, high-ranking representatives of AIDS LIFE’s partner organizations as well as famous supporters of the Life Ball comment on their commitment in the fight against HIV and AIDS.
