Everyone knows this iconic photo but few know its ties to MTV... In 1996, during the first national Presidential election in Russia, Yeltsin modeled his campaign after the Choose or Lose MTV campaign to encourage youth voting in Russia (also known as Rock the Vote in the USA). Soon after the famous dance, Yeltsin survived a heart attack.
